Furniture PampangaBy Jei del Rio

Our story

Built by people who believed in the vision

Furniture Pampanga by Jei del Rio began in 2018 in a home garage, with no capital and no factory. This is how it grew, and the values the team still works by.

Established 2018

A humble beginning

Furniture Pampanga was founded in 2018 by El Jei and Mae Del Rio as an online business — with no capital, no showroom and no factory. Jei was working as a software engineer in Clark, while Mae had just graduated and was preparing for her board exam.

Inspired by his family's earlier furniture business and Pampanga's tradition of craftsmanship, Jei saw a chance to revive that legacy through social media. They started with small wooden watch holders before taking on carved bed frames. Their home garage became their base, client down payments funded each order, and production was done on a pakyawan basis through relatives and local workshops.

The breakthrough

The turning point

A major break came when Ma'am Ali, a client from Mindanao, entrusted them with a large project entirely through their online platform. Her trust gave Jei the confidence to resign from his job and join Mae full-time.

More work followed from business owners, designers, doctors, lawyers, politicians, celebrities and hospitality clients. As project values reached millions of pesos, they sought guidance from consultants and introduced project discussions, Bills of Materials, client and expense records, and clearer systems. Jei took responsibility for Sales and Operations, while Mae led Finance and Administration.

The company today

Furniture Pampanga today

Today, Furniture Pampanga operates from a 2,000 square meter factory with its own warehouse and a team of more than 50 people. Managers, an architect, supervisors, quality control personnel and skilled artisans support projects from planning through delivery.

The factory produces complete custom furniture requirements for homes, interior design firms and large hospitality developments. Its milestones include hotel projects for Camaya Coast in Bataan and Sol Bria in Boracay. Many FP artisans have decades of furniture-making experience, including experience gained overseas.

The people behind FP

Built with the community

FP's growth has supported the Del Rio family, created employment within the Betis community, and developed long-term partnerships with clients who continue to recommend the company. Several employees who helped during its earliest years remain part of the team today.

For Jei and Mae, that loyalty is a defining part of the story: Furniture Pampanga grew from borrowed tools and client deposits because people believed in the vision and gave their best to every piece. They want the name Furniture Pampanga to be remembered for furniture made with skill, pride and the best effort of an entire team.

The impact we want to leave

Our legacy

Furniture Pampanga builds more than furniture. We build trust, develop people, create opportunities, and carry Filipino craftsmanship forward for the glory of God.

Our core values

Values become culture through daily behavior. These five define the culture we want to build together — and how we work on every project we take on.

Faith and Integrity

We honor God and do what is right, even when no one is watching.

What it means

Our faith shapes our character. Integrity means staying honest with our time, materials, progress, and quality, whether or not a supervisor is present.

What it looks like at FP

  • Tell the truth about work progress and quality issues.
  • Keep commitments to clients and teammates.
  • Protect the trust placed in us and the FP name.
  • Choose what is right, even when the easier choice is tempting.

Growth Mindset & Courage to Improve

We welcome learning, accept feedback, and have the courage to become better.

What it means

Every challenge can teach us something. Growth requires humility to learn and courage to change habits, skills, or systems that no longer work.

What it looks like at FP

  • Listen to feedback without becoming defensive.
  • Ask questions when instructions or standards are unclear.
  • Try better methods and support improvements in the process.
  • Use every project as a chance to strengthen our skills.

Gratitude

We appreciate every opportunity, challenge, and person who helps FP grow.

What it means

Gratitude helps us value our work, resources, clients, and teammates. We recognize what we have while continuing to improve the conditions around us.

What it looks like at FP

  • Respect the work and opportunities entrusted to us.
  • Use company tools and materials responsibly.
  • Recognize the effort and contribution of other departments.
  • Raise concerns constructively and help find a solution.

Admitting Mistakes

We own our mistakes, correct them, and learn from them instead of hiding them.

What it means

Mistakes become more costly when people hide them or pass the blame. Honest reporting allows the team to solve problems early and prevent them from happening again.

What it looks like at FP

  • Report mistakes and damage as soon as they happen.
  • Avoid blaming another person or department.
  • Help correct the problem and complete the required action.
  • Identify what must change so the mistake does not repeat.

Quality and Excellence

We give our best and create work worthy of the Furniture Pampanga name.

What it means

Every furniture piece represents our craftsmanship and reputation. Excellence comes from doing each step correctly, checking the details, and taking pride in the final output.

What it looks like at FP

  • Follow the approved design, measurements, and specifications.
  • Check work carefully before turning it over to the next department.
  • Correct defects instead of passing them forward.
  • Deliver work we are proud to show our clients.
